hallo!

diesmal fragen zur soild web engine:

1) umlaute

nach eurem tip mit recode, habe ich das mac file mit recode mac:latin1
konvertiert und mit solload in die db importiert. wenn ich jedoch mit
einem perl cgi-script daten ausgebe, stimmen die umlaute nicht (Oe = \, ue
= {, ...) - egal welches character set ich im .ctr file angebe (ansi,
mswindows, ibmpc, nocnv). es gibt zwar unter
http://www.solidtech.com/support/technote/note18.htm einen netten hinweis
(vom 17. 10. 1994), dass man SQLSetConnectOption(hdbc, fOption, vParam) in
der anwendung setzen kann, aber ich weiss nicht, wie ich das im perl
script (dbi::odbc module) umsetzen kann.

2) lange db felder

ich habe in der db ein varchar(35000) feld. bei einer abfrage erhalte ich: 
[Solid][SOLID ODBC Driver]String Data Right Truncation (SQL-01004)(DBD: 
>st_fetch/SQLFetch (long truncated) err=1) at ./search.pl line 36A 

The buffer szConnStrOut was not large enough to return the entire
connection string, so the connection string was truncated. argument
pcbConnStrOut contains the length of the untruncated connection string.
(Function returns SQL_SUCCESS_WITH_INFO.) 

wie kann ich diese buffer im perl script aendern?
